The Nativity...A King is Born!
We loved our Nativity this year and performed so confidently. Here we are in our costumes!
During Art Week we explored different types of lines. We ended up making our own repeating patterns!
Year 2 planted trees at Heartwood forest
Year 2 have started the year with Forest School. So far we have enjoyed den building and hunting for mini beasts!
Our first trip of the year was to Knebworth House where we learnt all about Victorian Children! We dressed up, played with Victorian toys, explored the Kitchen gardens and learnt to write on a chalk board with a slate pencil. We had so much fun!
Year 2 have enjoyed another week at Forest School. This time they lit a campfire and even toasted marshmallows!
Last week was Rosh Hashannah which is the Jewish New Year. We shared apples and honey to represent a sweet new year. Everyone thought it was yummy and we got sticky hands!
For 'No Pens Day' we had an African day to start off our new topic! We enjoyed making African drums, threading, Animal small world and learning some African songs!
NSPCC Number day was great fun. Class 2 dressed up in a number theme or as rock stars!
Year 1 have begun Forest School for the first term and absolutely love it! This week they went out despite the pouring rain, but made a campfire to keep warm...have a look at some pictures!
