We aim to create a caring Christian environment where our pupils feel valued and develop a lifelong love of learning. We seek to enable and challenge the children to do their best so that they develop in self esteem and confidence. We encourage our children to play an active part in the village community.

St. Bartholomew's continues to be an OUTSTANDING school!

At the end of February 2013, the school underwent a Church of England SIAS inspection. We are delighted that the school was graded as OUTSTANDING in all areas and the inspector could find no areas for development. This is fantastic news! We are all delighted that the school was graded similarly to the Ofsted inspection last autumn.

OFSTED: At the end of November we received the highest accolade from Ofsted, scoring 'outstanding' for everything inspected - pupil achievement, quality of teaching, pupils' behaviour and safety and leadership and management. We are very proud that the achievements of staff and children have been recognised by Ofsted. It is a great tribute to our school and community.

If you would like to tell Ofsted what you think about our school you can do this via Parent View

We continue to be proud of our academic achievements:

In December the Department for Education published the Performance Tables for 2013 KS2 SATS . For the sixth consecutive year, St Bartholomew's was ranked in the top 100 schools in England for Average Point Scores.
